Internet connection speed
Internet plays such a vital role in our lives. The way broadband has proliferated in recent years speaks of its importance. It is one of most favoured mode of business as well as personal communication. It is also an encyclopaedia and a treasure of knowledge. Life without internet seems so difficult. It is very hard to comprehend how helpless we will feel without having internet facility. In tune with its rising popularity, many surveys now take internet connection as a barometer of social justice and equality. In India, the things are rising fast but the per capita penetration is still far from satisfactory. Indian government is trying its best to push the internet connectivity in all corners of the country. Recently, broadband has been given as must for any new internet connection. It also signifies one will have minimum speed of 256 kbps.
Worldwide, no less than 20 percent of Internet connections around the world were at speeds greater than 5 Mbps and that is indeed remarkable. It is almost 21 per cent increase over the average global connection speed at the end of 2007. This report has been prepared by State of the Internet report and published by Akamai Technologies which is a renowned name in the world of telecommunication. Surprisingly, United States is at the 17th position and China has an average internet speed of 833 kbps. Total 223 countries were surveyed and as far as India is concerned, it stands at a dismal 115 position with average speed of 772 kbps. The global internet connection speed is 1.5 Mbps. So, India has a lot to catch up with but things are improving fast and necessary steps are being taken.

Asin Thottumkal was born on 26th October 1979 in Kochi, Kerala to a Syrian Christian family. Her father Joseph Tottumkal who was an entrepreneur is now her manager. Her mother is Seline Thottumkal, a surgeon by profession.Asin studied at the Naval Public School and St Theresa’s Higher Secondary School. She wrapped up her education with a degree in English Literature from St Theresa’s College.She assisted her father in his business that was diverse ranging from software to exports. She also modeled and has appeared in ads for Colgate Toothpaste and Fairever Cream.Asin faced the cameras when she was fifteen in the Malayalam movie Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. Her Telugu movies Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammay and Shivamani won her the Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award and the Santosham Best Actress Award respectively.She continued to work in Telugu hits like Lakshmi NarasimhaandGharshana. She went back to deliver a hit in the Tamil movie M Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi. While Chakram failed Ullam Ketkumae, Sivakashi and Majaa were hits. The Tamil movie Ghajini, also released, was a blockbuster and won her the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award. Her two movies in 2006 Varalaru, a Tamil movie and Annavaram, a Telugu movie were successful. Asin scored two out of three when Pokiri and Vel did well while Aalwar underperformed. Kamal Hassan’s extravaganza Dasavatharam again a hit with Asin playing Kothai Radha and Andaal. The same year she made her debut in Bollywood with the Hindi version of Ghajini starring Aamir Khan. Vipul Shah’s London Dreams, is said to have her as the lead with actors Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

He has studied animation at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, where he directed a group project CG short called "Freeware". The short won the Alias|Wavefront student competition. Alex went on to work at Manex Visual Effects, as a character animator for the Matrix sequels. His current job is at Pixar, where he serves as both character animator and storyboard artist.
